if being caught off guard weren't alarming enough (as much as he can feel muted alarm), this is even more so. there's a silence as he composes himself before he slowly rolls over beneath the sheets, a slow and lazy smile playing across his features as his good eye focuses on her. she's lovely, but there must have been some reason he decided to sleep with a woman; some reason he decided that it would be for the best to go against his inherent wiring.

[ Whereas he's wondering why he slept with a woman, Amelia is wondering who exactly is this foreigner she's shacked up with. There's something about his face... If only she weren't so hungover, she might recognize it. Ah, it'll come to her. Eventually.
